These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all orders placed on the website umatatea.com.
Any order placed on the website implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

2. Orders
Any order is confirmed only after full payment has been received.
Ū Matatea reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order in the event of a dispute with the customer, suspected fraud, or an obvious error in the order information.
3. Payment
Payment is made online through secure payment methods.
Transactions are processed by recognized payment providers. Bank details are never accessible to Ū Matatea.
4. Prices
Product prices are displayed in the currency selected by the customer on the website.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, based on the weight of the order and the delivery destination.
5. Products
Products are described as accurately as possible.
Photographs are provided for illustrative purposes only and are not contractually binding.
Due to the handmade nature of certain items, slight variations in shape, color, size, or finish may occur. These variations shall not be considered defects.
6. Availability
Products are offered subject to available stock.
In the event that a product becomes unavailable after the order has been confirmed, the customer will be informed as soon as possible. A suitable solution may be offered, including a refund or replacement where possible.
7. Delivery
Orders are prepared and shipped from French Polynesia.
Delivery times are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the destination, carriers, customs procedures, and logistical constraints.
Ū Matatea cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs procedures, or any event beyond its control.
8. Transfer of ownership and risk
Ownership of the products is transferred to the customer once full payment for the order has been received.
Risks related to transport are transferred to the customer upon delivery of the order.
9. Customs fees
For deliveries outside French Polynesia, customs fees, taxes, or import duties may be charged by the authorities of the destination country.
These fees remain the sole responsibility of the customer.
10. Right of withdrawal
The customer has a period of 14 days from receipt of the order to exercise their right of withdrawal, where this right is applicable.
To exercise this right, the customer must contact Ū Matatea at [contact@umatatea.com](mailto:contact@umatatea.com), indicating their order number.
The product must be returned unused, in its original condition, and with its packaging.
The refund will be issued after receipt and inspection of the returned product.
11. Non-returnable products
Certain items cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene, preservation, or personalization, in accordance with applicable regulations.
This may include, in particular, personalized products, cosmetic products, food products, or unsealed products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
12. Return procedure
Any return must be approved in advance by Ū Matatea.
The customer must contact Ū Matatea at [contact@umatatea.com](mailto:contact@umatatea.com), indicating their order number and the product concerned.
Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, except in the case of a preparation error or a confirmed defective product.
13. Defective product or order error
In the event of a defective product or an error in the order received, the customer must contact Ū Matatea within 48 hours of receipt.
Supporting evidence, including photographs, may be requested.
After verification, an appropriate solution will be offered, such as a replacement, refund, or credit note.
14. Liability
Ū Matatea cannot be held liable for indirect damage resulting from the use of the products.
Ū Matatea shall not be held liable in the event of misuse of the products, failure to follow care instructions, or improper use.
15. Personal data
The data collected is used for order processing, delivery, customer service, and customer relationship management.
The customer has the right to access, rectify, delete, object to, and restrict the processing of their personal data.
